Melvyn Mardell Needs You!
It all started for Melvyn in 1959, when he went to work alongside his father Reginald Henry Mardell in his barbers on Lowfield Street.
Melvyn has been working in the Dartford community for many many years, putting his heart and soul in all his work and his clients. He not only was a day to day barber, Melvyn was a role model to many that went to him, not only for a hair cut but for a friend to have a cup of tea and a chat.
Since giving up his place and having his son Mark Mardell take over his legacy, Melvyn has now been diagnosed with Cancer. Which the Anthony Nolan trust is by his side and is an amazing foundation that helps millions and millions of people suffering with blood cancer or any blood disorder.
Unfortunately they cannot save everyone and with much sadness they are not funded enough to do so. We ask everyone to follow the Anthony Nolan Trust and just give a little. Everything you give will go to help someone like Melvyn towards a bone marrow transplant in which will save his life.
Here is a little more information about the Trust and how with your help can make someone’s life a little easier and prolonged living.
